Our Mission

The Department of Biology delivers an innovative curriculum seamlessly integrated with research and with emphasis in the areas of Cell Regulation, Evolution, and Ecological Processes and Applications. The faculty work to engage and enlighten the community, to provide students in all disciplines with a solid foundation in the biological sciences, and to prepare graduate and undergraduate students for advanced academic study, admission to health programs, employment in laboratory and field programs, jobs in private industry, positions with government agencies, and teaching in secondary schools.
