Background Information

Ed Crawford received a B.S. in marine biology from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, an M.S. in biology from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Ph.D. in wetlands ecology from Old Dominion University. He is interested in modeling carbon dynamics in forested wetlands, quantification of abiotic and biotic factors affecting carbon sequestration in wetlands, invasion characteristics and ecological effects of invasive species in tidal and non-tidal wetlands, restoration of wetlands and other coastal ecosystems, and use of constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment.
